OUR STORY

ASK WHERE THE GOOD WAY IS & WALK IN IT…
(Jeremiah 6v16)
In 2023, Cameron (a Kansas boy) and Kelly (a Phoenix girl) began sensing that God was stirring a new opportunity in their hearts. As they started to pray and seek the Spirit’s voice, they felt a surprising call as a family to plant a new community rooted in the Way of Jesus in Flagstaff. They believe that the Spirit was calling them on a grand adventure and story of faith, even though it took some time for the vision to take shape (like most good stories do).
Over 10+ years of ministry in Scottsdale, the Lipperts created strong relationships and witnessed God’s incredible blessings. Some of those friends and mentors started praying alongside Cam and Kelly in the Fall of 2023 and Spring of 2024 as they began walking out the details of this transition. It all began with a word of the year: prayer. What started as talking to God in prayer became a journey of learning to listen and discern, and be present with Jesus. The practices of prayer, solitude, journaling and fasting all weaved together a tapestry of mission for a community “set on a hill, that cannot be hidden.” God often uses these moments of intentional devotion to shape and form us beyond what we can foresee when beginning them.
With hands and hearts open to God, it became quickly evident that a significant undertaking (the kind that can only happen with radical trust and reliance upon Christ) was on the way. Cam and Kelly had always felt a pull to be part of seeing the Kingdom grow and expand in new and exciting ways, seeing others experience transformation in Jesus, and also a desire to create deep roots in Arizona.
The city of Flagstaff continued to emerge in their hearts in some surprising and even comedic ways. Along with some unsettling statistics of a city they have come to love being in desperate need of the Good News of Jesus. Not to mention, the Lipperts adore the great outdoors and all that a beautiful, family-friendly, charming city like Flagstaff has to offer. Therefore, in many ways, this felt like the perfect story God had been writing all along. So… Cameron and Kelly, with their 3 adventurous kids (Knox, Silas, and Amelie), and with the help of mentors and coaches, began planning and arranging details for the transition to launch a church in the city of Flagstaff. They began meeting in their home in January 2025 and officially launched on November 2, 2025.
The words of the prophet Jeremiah have resonated deeply in this season to “stand at the crossroads and look… ask where the good Way is and walk in it.” So even in the face of ongoing unknowns and challenges ahead, The Lipperts and this amazing community are excited for the opportunity to walk with God to FORM a COMMUNITY, FOLLOWING CHRIST, for the FLOURISHING of this beautiful CITY!
